What a game !!!

Hi Again, looks like this blog is dead, just like mine but I'll try to post up matches that I played to keep it alive. Played with my uni mates/friends after a steamboat dinner. 2 house mates, 1 neighbour, 1 Korean. hehe.. very nice to play with a group of friends. The things they do to win.. well, started with synthetic steamboat + some fruit punch mix beer mix vodka. after the dinner, fetched a friend home and then got back for GAME time.. 5 people playing with another few more hanging around to see and do other things.The map was Big Game Hunters (BGH). My Korean friend aka Shawn wanted to play this map so well why not.. since he hasn't played in 4 years...
So we started the game. 2v2v1. Starting at bottom right or 5'clock I quickly put my scv's to work. After gathering enough resources I quickly walled up my entrance to prevent early rushes from people. This would be my friend's base a few minutes after my wall was set up. Got nice arrangement. However as the game kept going on I decided to push out my forces to take the center land mass which turned out to be a grave mistake at the end.
Making an error in defense about 10 minutes into the game as my base was not protected my anti-air. Charly's wraith came in and picked my workers one by one as I frantically tried to get my missile turrets up in time. I only managed to spot the wraiths seconds before they came in and wrecked havoc upon my workers. By the time my turrets were completed I had already lost about 10 scv's. That slowed me down alot.Going into the mid-late game, large scale battles between Shawn and I ensued. He just kept coming again and again trying to break my blockade while the others are secretly building their air armada and ground forces. Having no choice but to seal of the center with tanks and turrets with massive amounts of goliaths. This is where my defense is put the test. Check this link out.
I decided that I was not going to win if I stay in the center so I went in after BK's base. and this was what happened.
I was met with heavy resistance both carriers and dragoons. So I had to pull back and made a slow push.
I managed to inch my way in bit by bit by pumping additional forces from my factories back at base. After a long battle I managed to break his army thanks to some scourge from Shawn's ally DeeMei. We were laughing so loud cuz it was an accident that the scourges crashed into the carriers. Taking about 4 carriers before my goliaths finished the rest. Not long after that, Shawn decided it is time to break my defense again, so he came with alot of zealots and dragoons and also arbiters recalling in armies. The result was a total disaster for him. He actually recalled too soon because his arbiter was going down already.

Losing all his recalled units in a matter of seconds.. What a disaster.. He was saying "no Andrew, Don't attack me .." Hahaha!!!! reaching the last part of the game, I attacked Bk's second base and managed to decimate 1/3 of his army and base defenses. But he managed to push the attack back and now it was my time to suffer..
They decided to Gang up on me.. 3 of them on me because the other one's PC restarted. Sad.. Anyway, yep.. 3 on 1.. First Shawn and Dee mei came with a whole lot of carriers and obs , Guardians and Devourers + overlords. BK came with dragoons.. However the carriers and guardians exterminated my army in no time..
In a couple of minutes later, they reached my main.. I had nothing left.. from 200/200 to 15/35 in 2 minutes or so.. I typed GG... That was my game. Losing this game was fun.....

Well, Andrew here.. I might as well start posting something to this blog.. A few snapshots of the beginning of a game. (FOR NOOBS NOT PROS) This is for People who don't know what I am talking about. The yellow circles indicate start position, the arrows indicate how you should move your SCV's to gather minerals in the most efficient manner. We call it splitting.
As Starcraft is a fast paced RTS. Every second of the game matters. Especially the start of the game. Gathering resources to build up your base and army is the most important part of the game.
2 things that are important. ECONOMY AND MANAGEMENT. This is normally what occurs in mid game around 5-6 minutes. You should have around 20 workers in ur mineral patch and 3 workers to mine your gas.
